Here are a few of my favourite PODCASTS at the moment:
1.This is a fantastic podcast for people going through fertility struggles. Izzy starts off the series by telling us her own fertility story and then goes on to interview different ladies with very different stores to tell. Izzy also speaks to specialists from the hospital that she had her own IVF treatment (a must listen episode as it is a fabulous, comprehensive overview of the IVF process) and also interviews her husband, Harry Judd, about their personal experience giving a much needed male perspective on this subject. If you want to feel inspired, this is a must!
2.If you haven’t heard of Hazel aka The Food Medic, then you must have been living under a rock somewhere. Hazel is a medical doctor, personal trainer, author and social media powerhouse in the world of lifestyle medicine. Her podcasts aim to explore and explain the impact of nutrition and healthy lifestyles on medical conditions whilst busting some myths along the way. If you want to feel educated, this is a must listen!
Candice Brathwaite and her husband Papa B present this no-holds-barred podcast where they discuss day-today topics ranging from politics and parenting, money and marital affairs, social and racial inequality to celebrity gossip. They are a captivating couple with strong opinions, discussing some of today’s most important issues that are often brushed over in a candid manner. They are not afraid to question themselves and each other on their beliefs and stimulate their audience to do the same. If you are looking for a modern and thought-provoking podcast, this is it!
Giovanna Fletcher presents this positive and warming podcast and is joined by other high-profile mums to discuss the highs and lows of parenthood. Giovanna’s infectious personality shines through as she interviews parents and explores some of the common perils of motherhood. This podcast is a valuable and easy listen and helps you to feel that you are actually doing an okay job at this parenting malarkey! If you want a positive listen, then this is your go-to podcast.
How has it taken me so long to realise that the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) have podcasts?! Yep, this one needs little explaining… A series of educational podcasts about medical conditions by those who are at the forefront, practising evidenced-based medicine here in the UK. A podcast for GP’s (and any other healthcare professional with an interest) delivered by GP’s. Also, this is great to add to the learning portfolio too. If you are a UK GP and want stay up-to-date (and add to your CPD points) this is an absolute must!
